Black Rhinos eye Kadoma

They even went to inspect the ground and came out with some recommendations about where they felt could be improved, especially the security wall that surrounds the ground.
Workers were busy cutting grass inside the stadium and the turf is in a superb state.

Kadoma City Council Chamber Secretary, Williard Mangwengwende, said the latest developments will provoke a wave of excitement among those who like top-flight football in the town.
Mashonaland West province does not have a team in the Premiership.

“I can confirm that Black Rhinos FC have shown great interest in using the stadium as their home ground for this soccer season and we cannot describe how thrilled we are for such a good move by the army side.

“We promise all those in the soccer fraternity that we are not going to let such a glorious opportunity slip through our fingers and will try our best to give them a conducive atmosphere and above all terms which will make them feel at home,’’ said Mangwengwende.

Mangwengwende also told The Herald that although the army side’s officials came on Friday, much was not discussed as they were eager to have a tour of the ground before they could commit themselves to using the venue.
“They were impressed by the state of the turf and were concerned with the condition of the durawall which was in a sorry state and plans are underway to renovate the durawall.
