With eight games remaining before the season ends, Rhinos are now firm favourates for the sole ticket into Premiership next year as other title chasing teams are failing to rise at this crucial period of the season.
ZPC Kariba were the only team in the top four to register a win after dismissing Mwana Africa 1-0 at Chaminuka.
But they remain 10 points behind Chauya Chipembere who are on 50 points. Despite the draw Rangers coach Shame Nemasango is not throwing in the towel yet.
“It was one of the toughest games we have played this season and coming out with a draw was not a bad result because we could have easily lost the game,” said Nemasango.
“The season is at a crucial period and teams are now fighting for different causes so playing a team in the relegation zone was not easy and the point we got there is not bad given how we played.
“We are still fighting for the championship as there are eight games to go and anything can happen.
“We are now praying for favours from other teams that Black Rhinos can drop points — we need to win our matches and see where we can finish the season at,” said Nemasango.
