Officials said the new offing were a must for old BlackBerry customers to stick with their gadgets as this time around would boast of new added and exciting features.
Dubbed RE-DESIGNED, RE-ENGINEERED, RE-INVENTED, BlackBerry 10 launched simultaneously in six key destinations across the world, and if the presentations and the tests witnessed are anything to go-by, then BlackBerry 10 is the smartphone that will make an impression across the globe.
In an interview with CAJ News, BlackBerry regional director for West, East and Central Africa, Waldi Wepener, said the new smartphone possessed a new battery with long lifespan.
“The new BlackBerry 10 battery lasts longer! It lasts the full day without re-charging. As an industry, people always wanted to do more with the BlackBerry, in that case, more power will always be consumed.
“Our engineers took care of the battery issue, but to me, all smartphones always encounter battery challenges,” said Wepener.
Unveiling the BlackBerry 10 to the South African market, RIM South African managing director, Alexandra Zagury, said she was delighted that all four SA mobile network operators comprising Cell C, 8ta, MTN and Vodacom would market them.
Zagury said prior to its launch, BlackBerry 10 boasted 70 000 apps available, a development that shows the new offing would exceed expectations. – CAJ News.
