BUDDING gospel musician Blessing Deve is ecstatic following the successful launch of her music brand at the Alliance Francaise in Harare last week.

The launch was conducted during a well-attended music concert at which she was performing live. Deve is an award-winning gospel singer, who burst onto the scene at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. Her popular songs are “Anoziva” and “Munozarura”.

The gospel singer said she was delighted by the turnout, which was beyond her expectations.

“I would like to thank my fans, family and friends for the massive support. The turnout was encouraging,” said Deve.

Fellow artistes and the musician’s business partners also attended the concert.

Blessing “Bled” Chimanga and the Sesfikile dance group were some of the supporting acts at the event.

Deve said the concert and brand launch were part of the steps she is taking to improve her appeal.

“I wish to grow my brand so that I can impact lives across the spectrum. I am glad I have managed to attract corporate attention, as well as other organisations,” she said.

The musician further said her positive approach to life had taken her this far.

“Challenges are inevitable, considering the current economic hardships that were mainly triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic. However, I have managed to tackle every challenge by maintaining a positive attitude. This has motivated me to engage in different projects,” she said.

“It takes commitment, consistency, relevance and passion for one to survive in the music industry. I am constantly working on something of note. I am currently working on a live recording, which I plan to release before year-end, of course, by the grace of God.”

The musician hinted that she will soon be dropping some collaborations.

Her award-winning song is titled “Anoziva”. It was followed by “Munozarura” and the recently released single “Ndimi Ishe”, which is proving popular on national radio. Besides music, Deve is a thriving entrepreneur, who is also employed as a business development officer by a local media organisation.
