Boost and Enactus will be hosting the dinner on June 11.
“We are seeking to promote youth productivity while enabling them to build successful futures for themselves and their communities, we also want to be the leading international youth fellowship promoting youth productivity through economic empower- ment and social transformation,” the organisation added.
It also said they envision a world in which purposeful people strive in faith, hope and love to bring an end to extreme poverty and to cultivate conditions for everyone to enjoy health, peace and prosperity.
The Boost Fellowship was founded in 2000 through the support of a dynamic team of enthusiasts from Zimbabwe.
“We took the view that the success of future generations is not solely the responsibility of schools and universities but instead very substantial onus lies upon society as a whole so we set out to develop a programme that would offer a holistic development to an individual’s livelihood,” said Boost.
Their partner, Enactus, works with leaders in business and higher education to mobilise university students to make a difference in their communities while developing skills to become socially responsible business leaders.
“Participating students form teams at their respective universities and apply business concepts to develop outreach projects that improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need.
“Annual series of regional and national competitions are then held and teams present results of their projects which are evaluated by business leaders who serve as judges and eventually national champions advance to the prestigious Enactus World Cup.
“In addition to the community aspect of the programme, our leadership and career initiatives create opportunities for learning and exchange among the participants as well as the placement of students and alumni with companies in search of emerging talent, said Enactus.
