Boost for Bob ‘89 Super Cup

Sam Levy Village became the latest partners of the Bob ‘89 Super Cup, which has already received support from Goldtech Electronics and Chicken Slice.

The upmarket village in Borrowdale, Harare, donated 50 branded tracksuits with 25 going to DeMbare and an equal number going to Bosso.
Stan Kasukuwere, the founder of the Bob Super Cup, paid tribute to Sam Levy Village for coming on board the football tournament that celebrates the birthday annivessary of President Mugabe.

“We are delighted that we keep getting partners who want to associate with this tournament and what it represents and that is a vote of confidence in the people organising the tourney and also His Excellency, the man who is the face of this football festival,” said Kasukuwere.

“We had a good show in Bulawayo and the city really embraced our programmes and they loved what we gave them in terms of celebrating the life of our leader.

“We also took both teams to pay their respects at the cemetery where our football hero, Adam Ndlovu, was buried and that was one of the most touching moments I have witnessed in my life.

“Our aim is to bring unity to our country, because that is the message that President Mugabe always preaches, and we believe that we managed to do that in Bulawayo and we can do the same in Harare.”

Kasukuwere said they were ready to stage a grand finale, on Sunday, that will rock the capital.
“It’s all systems go and everything is getting into shape in preparations for what should be a great day for football and for the capital city,” said Kasukuwere.

“We want to organise a great event that will leave a lasting impression on everyone who will come to Rufaro and which will be felt across the entire city.

“We had spectacular parades in Bulawayo and we want to do the same in Harare.”
Sam Levy Village head of security and administration, Charles Kapfupi, said the Levy family was delighted to be associated with a football tournament that celebrated the life of President Mugabe.

“We are in support of the President’s birthday celebrations and wish him many more years and the entire Levy family wishes his Excellency a happy birthday,” said Kapfupi.

“We thank the President for all that he has done for our country and he is an exemplary and strong leader.
“This donation of tracksuits is our contribution to this football tournament so that it can be a success story and we wish the two teams, Dynamos and Highlanders, all the best in the final match.”
