FLAMBOYANT singer and entrepreneur, Carlos Green, says he is excited to have worked with physically-challenged diva, Chipo Muchegwa, on their single titled Usakanganwe.

The song will be released today.

In an interview with H-Metro, Green said he has always wanted to work with female artists.

“I met Chipo at a local restaurant and came up with the idea of collaborating.

“She is a strong woman and I believe the song will go far.

“I am happy to work with a dedicated woman who works hard to achieve her goals.

“I have always wanted to work with her because she is determined to produce music that speaks to the people,” he said.

Green promised his fans a very good song.

“We put in a lot of work to ensure that the song speaks to our fans.

“I am very excited and certain that our fans will enjoy the song.”

The video was sponsored by businessman Munyaradzi “Goldfinger” Makombora, who said he has always wanted to help artists.

“I love empowering musicians through supporting local artists so that they deliver good music to fans.

“As a businessperson, I believe there is potential in Zimbabwean artists, hence the need to support them financially.

“It is necessary that we support people who come up with beautiful ideas so that we can enhance the arts sector,” he said.

He said he was looking forward to working with upcoming artists.

“I am looking forward to helping those who are in the sector, when I can.

“One of the challenges faced by artists in Zimbabwe is lack of finances for audio and video recordings.

“There is great talent in many youths which only requires that they are empowered and encouraged to work harder,” he added.

Usakanganwe was released by Knowledge Nkoma, Suluman Chimbetu’s leading guitarist, at Kom Studios.
