It engages boys between the ages of 17-21 who have grown up in the absence of their fathers.

The programme offers a full year programme that covers psycho-social support, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), drug and substance abuse, goal setting and paternal rejection pain management.

Stanbic donated car washing equipment, office supplies and football kits to the programme.

Speaking the during handover ceremony held in Mufakose, Stanbic Bank Chief Finance Officer, Tafadzwa Mahachi, said:

“We are delighted to be making this donation to Family Impact’s ‘Impact For Boys’ programme.

“The car washing equipment will go a long way in generating income for the boys who mostly come from low income earning households.

“The football kits will play a crucial role in creating a platform for the boys not only to enhance their soccer skills but as a communication tool as well around issues affecting them such as drug and substance and drug abuse, crime and unemployment.”

Family Impact director, Leopold Enson, said:

“We believe that by teaching them valuable skills, such as car washing, we are equipping them with tools that will empower them to create their own opportunities in the future.

“Moreover, the football kits donated by Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe will encourage physical activity, promote teamwork and foster a healthy lifestyle among the boys.

“Sports play a vital role in the holistic development of young individuals.

“We are honoured to have partnered with Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe.

“Their commitment to corporate social responsibility, and their dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of young boys is truly commendable.”
