A MOVEMENT dubbed “Caleb” from the Universal Church is working tirelessly to support elderly people from underprivileged families.
They offer home-based care for the elderly and food hampers for their healthy survival.
“We are from the Universal Church and we have a group for the elderly people called Caleb Group.
“We take care of elderly people from all walks of life, the needy, and the marginalised regardless of religious background.
“We have been helping the elderly in couple of ways like hairdo, body massage, feet massage, exercises, and health and wellness done by the Ministry of Health and Child Care, who were helping us with routine check-ups, and food and nutrition advice,” said Sifiso Dabengwa, the Caleb coordinator.
Caleb handed over some Christmas groceries to the elderly last Sunday in Kwekwe and they are set to do more charity work next year.
“We are looking forward to doing more work in 2023 with the help of some stakeholders, “ said Dabengwa.
