Boreholes sunk

manager Ms Caroline Washaya-Moyo said in an interview that the authority was assisted to sink boreholes in the national park.
“We have put in place every measure and taken contingency steps to ensure that there is adequate water supply in the hot season. As an authority, we now await the onset of the hot summer season,” she said.
Ms Washaya-Moyo said the authority had not been spared by the economic sanctions that saw it getting funding from multi-lateral lending institutions such as the World Bank.
“The authority has also been affected by sanctions as we are literally eating what we kill. The world and other institutions used to fund some of our programmes and operations. As long as sanctions are there, we will still continue to face challenges.”
