Born Free Crew member Tinashe “Nendoro” Mupambawashe has released a single titled “Uri Wangu” as he pursues his solo career. Tinashe follows in the footsteps of the majority of the Born Free Crew founder members who have also done solo projects, but he says he is still with the group.
“I am still very much an active member of Born Free Crew and the decision to work on a solo project is just to measure my progress as an individual as one need to know if they are making headway or otherwise,” he said.

“Uri Wangu” talks about young love and commitment which is essential to building a lasting relationship.

The song talks about endless love and commitment said Nendoro. The single is a second solo attempt by the artiste who released a six-track album in 2013 titled “Nendoro” which was recorded under the guidance on Clive “Mono” Mkundu.

Nendoro said “Uri Wangu” is going to be part of his forthcoming album.

“I have already finished recording most of the songs that are to be on the new album and I am also working with the likes of Bob Nyabinde among other renowned artistes.

“The single is a foretaste of what to expect on the album which should be something to look forward to,” explained Nendoro. Other members of Born Free Crew who have also done solo projects include Pride “Veyla” Mashaire, Hazvinei Zhakata and Sehlaphi Mthombeni.
