AS the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) action returns after paving way for the Chibuku Super Cup semi-final ties, Highlanders head coach Kelvin Kaindu has vowed to give their all in the remaining games, saying they are targeting a top-four finish.

Bosso are fifth on the log with 44 points from 30 games, a massive 16 points behind leaders Simba Bhora. FC Platinum are second with 54 points and Manica Diamonds are third with 47 points. Defending champions Ngezi Platinum Stars complete the present top four with 46 points.

Kaindu said it is important for the club to end the season on a high note.

“All remaining points are worth fighting for. We messed up in our last game (against Manica) and we need to bounce back,” said Kaindu

Highlanders face stiff competition from Ngezi Platinum and Manica Diamonds for a top-four finish. With the title already out of their reach, a strong finish is crucial for Bosso.

“We had a break, regulating practice sessions. Never Rauzhi is doing light training, hoping he’ll improve. Preparations are good; we’re looking forward to the game against Greenfuel ,” Kaindu said.

There are concerns that Bosso’s next fixture could once again be played before a paltry crowd as the fans are pushing the idea of holding another fundraiser at the clubhouse on Sunday.

Social media has been awash with calls for fans to make their way to the clubhouse. The second fundraiser comes after the first event netted US$9 900 which will be used to pay fines the club was hit with by the PSL.

Most fans decided to go to the clubhouse instead of watching the team’s 2-0 victory over ZPC Kariba at Barbourfields Stadium.

In other matches scheduled for this weekend, Simba Bhora will have their title credentials tested when they host CAPS United at Wadzanayi Stadium in Shamva on Saturday. On the same day, Bulawayo Chiefs take on Arenel in a Bulawayo derby at Luveve Stadium.

Another big game is the clash between Dynamos and FC Platinum at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
