Bosso court Pirates

UNITED by their traditional black-and-white stripes and only separated by the Limpopo, Highlanders and Orlando Pirates have agreed on numerous partnership deals that will benefit both clubs.

Bosso chief executive, Ronald Moyo met with Orlando Pirates owner, Irvine Khoza, on Wednesday at the South African giants’ headquarters in Johannesburg.

Sources at the club told H-Metro that Moyo and Khoza met and discussed issues that will see a win-win partnership being struck between the two clubs.

“It’s true that our CEO met Orlando Pirates owner Irvine Khoza and the two discussed potential partnerships that will be on a win-win basis.

“The two discussed a deal that will see some Highlanders players going to play for Orlando Pirates and, if a player is sold, then the club stands to benefit from the sale.

“As a club we are excited about the partnership as it seeks to benefit us more than Orlando Pirates.

“Pirates have been successful in Africa, Bosso haven’t done much.

“We want to learn from them and adopt some administrative skills. We seek to claim our mark on the continent, and internationally, as a professional club,’ said the Bosso source.

Moyo’s meeting with Khoza comes barely a fortnight after Bosso’s leadership embarked on a European adventure, organised by the club’s principal sponsors, Sakunda Holdings.

The European tour party had board chairman Luke Mnkandla, executive chairman Johnfat Sibanda, club secretary Morgen Dube and treasurer Busani Mthombeni.
