Bosso demolish Maison Nic

in a well-attended Bulawayo Metropolitan Darts Association league match played at Highlanders clubhouse on Wednesday night.
Bosso who seemed to vent their anger on the loss of top player Brian Ndlovu to Archers, upped their game in the singles after going down 2-1 in the doubles to win 29 of the 36 singles.
The visitors went one up when the duo of Ntando Msimanga and Qhawe Sibanda shocked Jackson Ndimande and Maclean Chirwa before Munyaradzi Dabe and Lethukuthula Nkomo brought Highlanders on level terms.
The doubles decider pitted Sikhulile Sibanda and Highlanders vice-captain Sydney Ncube against the visitors’ Milton Ncube and Simangaliso Sithole and the latter won the game. By then the visitors’ confidence went through the rooftop while Highlanders, whose players were really not in their usual jovial mood, looked shocked with some supporters being heard saying an upset was in the making.
The fear was further instilled by Maison Nic’s good show against champions Ah-Sat even though they lost 22-17.
However,  captain and veteran player Nkululeko Ncube and the ever jovial Sheron Sitsha rallied their teammates and reminded them about the consequences of losing to debutants and worse still at home.
The singles were to be the most painful moments for Maison Nic as Highlanders went on the rampage, with Nkomo hitting a single 180 and two 140 match plays. His teammates Dabe and Ndimande got three and a single 140 match play respectively and Ndimande, nicknamed Jack Daniels, capped a good night by winning all his six singles.
For the visitors, Sibanda was their best player with three 140 match plays on the night.
Log leaders Fairbridge handed Parkview Lions their third defeat of the season winning 22-17 with captain Tapera Makado leading from the front getting three 180 and 140 match plays.
As expected league champions Ah-Sat were in their usual mean mood and showed no respect for their visitors, new boys  Zimbabwe School of Mines by hitting them 35-4, the same scoreline that the visitors were handed by Railstars, two weeks ago.
Provincial chairman Wayne Brandt did not even mind that his committee has already entered into an agreement with authorities at the School of Mines for the use of their facilities for the Easter Holidays championships with a vintage performance.
A completely new Vaiton Refregeration-sponsored Archers came back from their hunt with smiles on their faces after defeating Wisewaters  23-16 while Railstars also continued with their winning streak, beating Zimbabwe Saints 26-13 at Raylton Club.
In an ironic case, the match involving law enforcement side ZRP (Byo) and  gold miners Old Nic Mine was abandoned after both teams came close to blows. It could not be immediately ascertained what really caused the problem.
With all the top six sides winning, there was no change in the top six standings on the log.
Meanwhile, a storm is brewing between Archers and Highlanders after the former allegedly lured the latter’s top player Brian Ndlovu.
Highlanders vice-captain Sydney Ncube said his team was not amused by the back door tactics employed by Archers. “Ndlovu was approached by a member of Archers who told him to abandon us because we have no money and join their club. We don’t mind him moving but it should be done professionally not this way. Why do they want to destroy Highlanders?” fumed Ncube.
However, Archers’ non-playing captain Ernest “Maphepha” Sibanda denied that his club had enticed Ndlovu.
“The player came on his own volition. He said most of his friends from social darts had joined Archers so he would like to be with them. It’s not true that we want to destroy Highlanders, why should we do that,” said Sibanda, a former Highlanders chairman who is on suspension from all club activities.
However, Archers themselves lost their entire 2011 team who went on to form Maison Nic while Highlanders themselves were joined by top Parkview Lions players Lethukuthula Nkomo and Jackson Ndimande.
