Bosso face Motor Action

The match is set for Rufaro Stadium on Saturday.

Dynamos last kicked a ball on 23 May when they drew 0-0 with their Harare neighbours Motor Action and today will troop into their favourite hunting ground, Rufaro Stadium, to face Harare City in a re-arranged match that should have been played last month.

A win for DeMbare will take them to 17 points, six points behind leaders Highlanders who lead their Harare rivals by a massive nine points.

Bosso are chasing their 2006 season record in which they went for an incredible 10 games without defeat and so far they have gone for nine games with seven straight wins and two draws.

Their new find, Masimba Mambare, will be facing his former paymasters and the midfielder is under no illusion of the damage that can be inflicted by The Bulls on Highlanders.

“It feels good that I am facing my former employers. I feel motivated but I will take it like any other game. If I play I will be cautious and respectful,” Mambare told our Harare Bureau.

Chicken Inn, the first team to hold Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium, will welcome a badly bruised Hwange who were mauled 4-1 by Shabanie Mine before their drum-beating and shocked supporters. It will be a test of character for Adam Ndlovu to prove to all and sundry that he did not use all his tactical skills in shutting Highlanders out.

He welcomes back skipper Herbert Dick who missed the Bosso clash due to injury while Chipangano will hope that goalkeeper Petros Mhari would have fully recovered to give ample cover to Timothy Sibanda.

Newly appointed Quelaton coach Philani “Beefy” Ncube takes charge of his first official match with a game against fellow debutants Hardbody at Luveve Stadium. Quelaton are in the drop zone with four points after an embarrassing administrative boob on the part of their manager saw them fielding an ineligible player that resulted in three precious points being deducted.

“We hope Ncube will steer the team out of the relegation zone,” director Tawanda Ruzive told Chronicle Sport last week.

At Maglas Stadium, Shabanie Mine play host to poor travellers Monomotapa with the country’s leading hitman, Nelson Mazivisa expected to carry the miners’ hopes and justify his national team call-up. Interestingly Mazivisa was offloaded by Rahman Gumbo at FC Platinum as he was said to be not good enough but somehow, the gaffer found him good enough for a national team job.

The platinum miners themselves will be in the capital for what looks like a stroll in the park as they engage winless Blue Rangers at Gwanzura Stadium on Sunday.

Today: Dynamos v Harare City (Rufaro).

Sunday: Gunners v Dynamos (Lafarge); Quelaton v Hardbody (Luveve); Shabanie Mine v Monomotapa (Maglas); Blue Rangers v FC Platinum (Gwanzura).
