HIGHLANDERS’ salary crisis took another twist on Wednesday morning after players reported for training but refused to take part in the session, maintaining pressure on the club over outstanding wages.

The development comes as an update to the ongoing unrest at the club, where players had already downed tools over unpaid salaries. This time, the squad turned up at the training venue but did not train, in a deliberate show of protest.

Players, the technical team and office staff are understood to be owed two months’ salaries, a situation that continues to destabilise the Bosso camp at a critical stage of the season.

All players were present at training but opted to sit out the session, with no meaningful activity taking place as frustration over the outstanding dues spilled into the open once again.
