HIGHLANDERS have made a bold boardroom move.
The Bulawayo giants have appointed seasoned football administrator Denzil Mnkandla as their new Chief Executive Officer, with immediate effect.
Mnkandla steps into the hot seat vacated by Brian Moyo, who resigned four months ago. Since then, Kindman Ndlovu had been holding the fort as acting CEO.
A product of NUST and a familiar face in local football circles, Mnkandla brings years of experience to the country’s oldest and most supported club. He previously held key administrative roles at FC Platinum, where he earned a reputation as a shrewd operator behind the scenes.
In a statement confirming the appointment, Highlanders said: “We welcome Mnkandla to the country’s oldest, most followed and supported football team.”
Mnkandla beat out stiff competition for the job, including Nomvelo Mlotshwa and Nkululeko Ndlovu, emerging as the standout candidate during the selection process.
His appointment comes at a crucial time for Bosso, who are chasing glory on the pitch and stability off it. The club will be banking on Mnkandla’s experience and leadership to steer them into a new era of professionalism and results.
Fans will be hoping he brings both boardroom muscle and fresh ideas to help restore Highlanders to the top of Zimbabwean football.
