HIGHLANDERS seasoned goalkeeper and captain Ariel “Mangoye” Sibanda is set to reward excelling goalkeepers at the Nkayi Soccer Academy Youth Tournament that will be held from Friday to Saturday.
The second edition of the Nkayi Youth Football tournament will be played at Nkayi High School amid revelations a roadshow meant to activate people about the event will be held on Thursday.
“It’s all about showing love for the emerging football talent and it will be an honour for me to grace the occasion in such a way. The country greatly needs to nature young football talent,” said Sibanda.
The Nkayi Soccer Academy contest will feature boys and girls teams.
According to the organisers, several academies and clubs have confirmed their participation and there will be a roadshow meant to stimulate locals and people from all over the country about the tournament.
In the boys category, Nkayi Soccer Academy, Highlanders, Somvubu Academy, Lupane City FC, Corinthias SOE, Super Eagles and Ama 53 City Select will take part.
In the girls group there will be Nkayi Soccer Academy, Sibanye, Amazwendaba Royal Queens, Lupane City, Somvunbu Academy and Corinthias SOE.-@FungaiMuderere
