Botched car deal turns sour for Harare city

The suspected scam was exposed recently when the supplier dumped the vehicles with serious defects at Town House.

The vehicles were reportedly purchased at    US$7 000 each, double the recommended price of US$3 500 per car. Some councillors who physically inspected the vehicles when they arrived at Town House raised alarm, forcing management to stall the vehicle allocation.
