Botswana President to officially open ZITF

BOTSWANA President Advocate Duma Gideon Boko is expected to officially open the 66th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), Cabinet has announced.

The official opening ceremony is scheduled for April 23 at the Zimbabwe International Conference and Exhibition Smart City (ZICES) in Bulawayo.

In an updated posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services confirmed the development and outlined key details of this year’s premier trade showcase.

“The 66th Edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair will run from 20 to 25 April, 2026, under the theme, ‘Connected Economies, Competitive Industries’.

“The Fair is expected to be officially opened on 23 April 2026 by H.E Advocate Duma Gideon Boko, President of Botswana,” said the Ministry.

The annual exhibition is one of the region’s leading trade and investment platforms, drawing exhibitors and visitors from across the globe, and is expected to further strengthen regional economic integration and industrial competitiveness.
