The week-long tournament had 10 teams from five provinces taking part with two from Kenya’s Karen Country Club.
The tournament ends with the trips that started during midweek.
Bulawayo Athletic Club men’s team won a gold medal in the men’s fours tournament and gold in the women’s battle.
After the fours tournament the teams took part in the singles, which saw Part Gilham, Roy Osborne, Clive Robertson and Debbie Robertson winning the gold medals.
Yesterday the trips team were played at Avondale and Alex Sports Clubs.
The men tournament was played at Avondale while women played at Alex.
The 2011 edition of national bowls has seen the number of teams decreasing from last year when it was held in Bulawayo.
Bowls Zimbabwe president Malcom Evans is, however, happy with the way the tournament has progressed.
“We had a great improvement this year and the tournament was well organised.
“We had new champions at this year’s events and this shows that we are improving.
“Our aim is to produce some of the best players who can play in the world championships as we had some participants in the last edition but we want the number to increase.”
The prestigious bowls tournament is played once a year in either Harare or Bulawayo.
Last year the tournament was held in Bulawayo and Cara Waid William and Terry Bowls won the singles tournaments.
The duo failed to defend their titles at this year’s tournament and are only hoping to make it in the trips.
