Boy, 12, missing

A BULAWAYO family is looking for a 12-year-old boy who disappeared two weeks ago. Richard Luwa, a Grade 4 pupil at Nketa primary school, was last seen by neighbours, running out of the Tshabalala family home on April 1.

His father, Precious Luwa, 38, said Richard was wearing a dark blue jacket, white T-shirt, blue pair of trousers with light green flip-flops on the day he disappeared.

“On the fateful day, I left home for work early in the morning. Richard and his young brother were left with my 18-year-old daughter, Forget Nyoni,” said Luwa.

“Nyoni said she went to church and left the two boys playing at home. She returned home at around 2PM and found my three year-old-son crying, alone at home,” he said.

Luwa said Forget asked the boy where Richard was but got no response.

“She went to ask the neighbours if they had seen Richard and they said they spotted him running out of the house alone at an undisclosed time,” said Luwa.

“My daughter called me at work and I rushed home to look for my son but I couldn’t find him,” said the father.

He said the distressed family made a report at Tshabalala Police Station but there was still no information about Richard’s whereabouts.
