A 14-year-old boy has been sentenced to receive three strokes of the rattan cane for sodomising three siblings after enticing them with biscuits.
The teenager appeared before Gweru regional magistrate Mrs Phathekile Msipa, facing charges of aggravated indecent assault. The teenager, who is doing Form 1, pleaded guilty to the charges.
In passing sentence, Mrs Msipa said aggravated indecent assault was a serious offence which calls for a stiffer sentence.
“The offense is very serious but the accused is still in school. Therefore, he will receive three strokes of the rattan cane,” she said.
