Tariro Mnangagwa (26) allegedly kidnapped the seven-month-old toddlers after Rennie Musasiwa reportedly assisted his ex-wife to take their son from him.
Mnangagwa denied the charges when he appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Shane Kubonera yesterday.
Mr Kubonera postponed the matter to February 17.
Prosecutor Ms Veronica Zvinavashe alleges that on November 29 last year, Musasiwa and his sister went to Mnangagwa’s residence and took the couple’s two-year-old son. Mnangagwa was reportedly not at home on the said date. Ms Zvinavashe said Mnangagwa was later informed that his spouse had and her brother had taken the child.
Mnangwaga allegedly rushed to Musasiwa’s residence in Avondale and saw the twins playing with the maid. Ms Zvinavashe alleges that Mnangagwa grabbed the children and went away. The maid reported the issue to the twins’ mother, and she in turn informed her husband. — CR.
