BPA mid season transfer window closes

THE month-long Bulawayo Pool Association mid season transfer window closed a fortnight ago various with clubs being active on the market.A number of players moved from one club to another following the transfer window period which opened in July.

The trio of Rodwell Zikhali, Israel Swenzawayi and Brighton Sibanda moved from Entumbane to Lounge Sharks.

Borgia and Geshem Nash returned to Kings from West Commonage and Lounge Sharks respectively.

CSC lost the duo of Allaya Pongweni and Musa Bekezela to Bambi Lounge while Menard Moyo and Dexter Dexter dumped Entumbane for Raylton.

In the ladies category, the only notable move was that of Lucy Mpofu who has joined Raylton from Entumbane.
Entumbane reportedly boasted of a large pool of players hence their decision to release some of them to other clubs.

BPA publicity secretary Farai Nyandoro said as an association they had managed to facilitate the official moves of these players.

a�?We collected all the data regarding the transfers hence we will soon issue the players with their new team certificates. Teams were being charged $20 for the transfers whereas clubs are set to get $10 from that fee while the other remains in the BPA bank account,a�? said Nyandoro.

Meanwhile, in BPAa��s Division One A League, fourth placed UBH BEAT Nkulumane PC 11-3 while second-placed Dragons dismissed Fungai Dragons 12-2 to take their points tally to 41.

Dawn moved to sixth after they dispatched Munyoro Community 11-3 while log leaders ZPC continued with their winning ways when they thumped Exchange Bar 12-2.A� In Division One B, Metropolis, CSC, Drill Hall and Mnethi Gunners posted identical 8-6 against Msindo, Sibamba, 13th Avenue and Donnington respectively.

In other matches,A� Lobengula Sharks walloped MaNdlovu BG11-3 while Delta got the better of Happy ValleyA� on a 10-4 score-line.

In the Premier League, defending champions Kings moved to third position after beating Maisons 11-3. Southwold thumped Masters 9-56 while Golden Lions lost 6-8 to Egodini. Entumbane massacred Ace Lounge 12-2.
