Entertainment in collaboration with Zero One One Entertainment of Johannesburg will see the “Via Orlando” hitmakers taking turns to thrill.
A representative from Zero One One, Chucky Ayisha, said all the loose ends had been tied up and what was left was for the artistes Vetkuk (Jonathan Mbuyisa) and Mahoota (Zane Sibika) to come tomorrow.
“We are excited about the gig and at this stage everything has already been paid for. We are trying to avoid the MiCasa incident so we have agents who deal with the artistes and book for them directly in South Africa,” he said.
The organiser, however, said he was optimistic of a high turnout even though the show was going to clash with the Harare International Festival of the Arts that is now in full swing.
“We will not be competing with Hifa because we have a different market of house fanatics. At the same time, our show will kick off later during the night (tomorrow) so after Hifa, the people can spill for the Vetkuk gig,” he said.
Zero One One together with Ace Entertainment has in the past successfully hosted South African artistes Professor and Big Nuz. They, however, promised that an even bigger artiste was set to grace the country at the end of May.
“We have paid for two more artistes who will come in the next two months. However, we are promising an even bigger group that is doing wonders in the house music circles at the moment after the Vetkuk gig,” said Ayisha.
The House Music gigs will be a monthly feature at Circus Night Club.
