FORMER Chicken Inn fringe player Bravie Ayanda Sibanda has continued to rock in Slovakia after he chipped in with an assist when his Third League side OFK Baník Lehota pod Vtácnikomn thumped Belusa 4-0.
The Slovakian League has bounced back from a three months long winter break and the Zimbabwean player has seen his stock continue to rise.
Before the break, Sibanda had scored 15 goals for his paymasters.
‘It’s always pleasing to do well for your team and I’m more than happy. I will keep on working hard and for me, it’s all about team work,” said Sibanda, a player who has had an unbelievable spring in his career.
His impact is undeniable following a football journey that has taken him to South Africa and Swaziland.
In Swaziland, he turned out for Tambankulu Callies and it is a club that facilitated his one-year contract with an option to renew.
Despite the challenge of adapting to a new language and culture, Sibanda feels at home in Slovakia and has integrated well into the European football scene.
Prior to his success in Slovakia, Sibanda had struggled to secure a starting position at Chicken Inn and subsequently played for Swaziland’s
Manzini Wanderers. His current accomplishment is a testament to his bounciness and aptitude to familiarise to new environments.
