The foreign ministers will discuss bilateral issues with particular emphasis on the Strategic Alliance agreed between Brazil and Angola in 2010.
At Itamaraty Palace, headquarters of the Brazilian Foreign Ministry, Patriota and Chikoti will follow up the issues discussed by the presidents of both countries during President Dilma Rousseff’s visit to Luanda last October, according to a press release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The foreign ministers will also address regional and multilateral issues, especially regarding the Community of Portuguese Language Speaking Countries (CPLP), which is currently presided over by Angola.
According to Itamaraty official figures, trade between Brasilia and Luanda grew by about seven times in the past 10 years.
In 2010, Angola was the fifth largest trading partner of Brazil in Africa. – Prensa Latina.
