Brazil legend arrives

FORMER Brazil international football, Julio “The Beast” Baptista, arrived in the country yesterday with the legendary Roberto Carlos now expected next week as part of the sports tourism initiative by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority. Baptista, a former Real Madrid and Arsenal star, will address a Press conference today.

The visit to Zimbabwe is under sports tourism as part of the larger national perception management project.
ZTA are working in conjunction with the World Class Legends to bring the legends in Zimbabwe.

Roberto Carlos, a World Cup winner, had been expected to arrive yesterday, but his arrival was deferred as he is expected to attend the 237th El Classico showdown between his former club Real Madrid and Barcelona at Camp Nou this Sunday.

Baptista arrived in the company of the World Class Legends chief executive, Rayco Garcia, who also facilitated the tour by the Barcelona Legends last year.

ZTA host celebrities as part of their perception management project, to prove that Zimbabwe is a safe tourist destination.
Baptista is a former Brazilian professional footballer who played most recently as a forward for Major League Soccer club Orlando City SC.
