Ten percent said they would certainly vote for former Senator Marina Silva, who finished third in the last election, and 30 percent said they might vote for her.

Half of the respondents said they would not vote for Jose Serra, the runner-up in the last elections, and 35 percent said they would or might vote for Serra, who comes from the main opposition Social Democratic Party (PSDB).

An earlier Ibope poll found a record-high 63 percent approval rate for the president, compared to 39 percent for her predecessor Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva at the same point of his first term. Lula still got re-elected. — Xinhua
