HIGHLANDERS Football Club has finally pulled the trigger on under-fire head coach Kelvin Kaindu following a disappointing string of results that left fans seething and the team in freefall.
In a shock announcement, the club confirmed that Kaindu has been shown the exit, with First Assistant Coach Try Ncube taking over the reins on an interim basis. He will be supported by Second Assistant Coach Agent Sawu, while the rest of the technical bench remains unchanged.
“The changes have been necessitated by the recent streak of unsatisfactory results,” read part of the statement issued by the club’s Executive Committee.
Kaindu, who was brought in with high hopes, leaves amid growing pressure from the Bosso faithful who had been calling for a fresh tactical approach.
The club thanked Kaindu for his service and wished him well in future. But for many fans, the focus is now on Ncube and whether he can revive Bosso’s title hopes or at least restore pride at Emagumeni.
