An Air India flight bound for London with 242 people on board crashed near Ahmedabad airport on Thursday during takeoff.
Dramatic visuals showed debris engulfed in flames and thick black smoke billowing near the runway.
The crash occurred as the aircraft was lifting off, according to early reports.
The extent of casualties is not yet confirmed. Emergency services are at the scene. – India Today
