Business tycoon, Cde Philip Chiyangwa, sustained injuries after fire raged his Borrowdale mansion this morning.

When The Herald news crew visited the property, Cde Chiyangwa was leaving in a private car reportedly to a city private hospital for treatment.

Cde Chiyangwa’s son Bruce said they were not suspecting foul play.He said his father was the only one injured.

Domestic workers said fire started in Cde Chiyangwa’s bedroom and quickly spread to other rooms.

“I was the first to notice the fire when I was by the gate after which I alerted others,” said a security guard at one of the gates to the expansive mansion.
