BREAKING NEWS: Dynamos fires coach Yogi

Herald Reporter

CHAMPIONS Dynamos have confirmed the axing of coach David “Yogi” Mandigora.
Club president Kenny Mubaiwa told a press conference the decision to jettison the veteran coach was in response to his failure to meet a mid-season target of 30 points.
“We agreed on a performance based approach and tasked him with collecting 30 points from the first 15 games. He failed. We tried to give him sometime but it was clear that he was not going to win the league title and that is something we cannot accept at Dynamos. At Dynamos we don’t play for anything else other than the title,” he said.
Assistant coach Tonderayi Ndiraya has been elevated to interim coach and his first task is the ZNA Charities final against Highlanders at Rufaro on Sunday.
