President Mnangagwa has said Covid-19 vaccination is the best way out of restrictions occasioned by the global pandemic and has urged the populace to take it up when an opportunity is availed.
Zimbabwe became one of the first countries to roll out a vaccines and Government has been hailed by the World Health Organisation (WHO) for its handling of the pandemic.
President Mnangagwa is leading from the front in this fight and today took it upon himself to urge the citizenry to take up vaccination.
The President’s call comes amid unsubstantiated conspiracies with some questioning the safety of the said vaccines despite not having any scientific evidence to back their fears.
“Well, I’m here to tell you that you and I have a role to play in this fight.
Covid-19 vaccines have been delivered to Zimbabwe. These vaccines help minimise the risk of infection and are being administered all over Zimbabwe free of charge,” said the President via his Twitter account.
” You and I need to defeat the disease.
So, get vaccinated now. This is our stand against Covid-19. Together, we will conquer. Get vaccinated now!”
