HIGHLANDERS head coach, Baltermer Brito, is already feeling the love of the club’s fans.
He feels Bosso have the best fans in the country.
“We have the best supporters in the land,” he told H-Metro. “They come to Barbourfields to support the team.
“We are making a request to them to fill the Barbourfields to show their support for the team.
“We are requesting them to come and show good behaviour and support the team throughout the game and then to celebrate with us at the end of the game.
“If the boys don’t give their best in the game, the supporters can question their ambition.
“I make a promise to them that if they come in huge numbers, and make the battlefield hostile for our opponents, it’s going to be easy for us.”
Highlanders have only lost to FC Platinum since the beginning of March.
They take on Manica Diamonds and Britto feels the Gem Boys will give them a tough challenge in their Castle Lager Premiership match at Barbourfields on Sunday.
Bosso are unbeaten since Brito took charge.
They edged Black Rhinos and showed good fighting spirit in their draw against Ngezi Platinum Stars.
“During the game, it is the players who should try to make the game look easy,” he said.
“But, we know the game against Manica will be a tough one because they have good players.
“They defend man-to-man, they are strong.
“They look good on counterattacks and they are quick. They have also won a number of games to show they are a good team.
“But, we are Highlanders and we believe we will put on a good game, we will play for the three points.”
He added:
“The boys are preparing well, they have been working throughout the week and are in good shape.
“So, that gives us confidence for the game.”
