Broncleer Bust at Beitbridge! More nabbed in dagga dragnet

B-Metro Reporter
IN a dramatic movie-like twist, police in Beitbridge busted a massive Broncleer smuggling operation on Friday, 18 April 2025.

The long arm of the law caught up with Charles Gumbo (56), a haulage truck driver, and his passenger Witness Chinemo (43), after cops intercepted their truck and discovered a contraband stash of Broncleer Cough Syrup worth a staggering US$16 400. Police confirmed the incident on X. The syrup, often abused as a street drug, was destined for the black market before the police pounced.

Meanwhile, a day earlier in Harare, police were just as busy. Priviledge Ndudzo (28) was nabbed in Kambuzuma after he was found in possession of dagga (skunk), while at Mbare Musika, Fracia Mupfumbe (41) and Getrude Bhinza (50) were caught red-handed with more green goodies.

Police say the crackdown is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle drug distribution networks across the country.

Drug lords, beware—the heat is on!
