Brown burial tomorrow

Brown’s burial was set for today, but was postponed as other family members abroad were yet to arrive. His body was expected to lie in state at his Cranborne home last night, before being taken to his rural home today.
The legendary musician who succumbed to pneumonia at Parirenyatwa Hospital on Friday left an irreplaceable void in the music industry.
Condolence messages continue to pour in.

In a statement, Ambassador Simon Khaya Moyo said Muzukuru Brown was a musician par excellence whose death has extinguished the music flame.
“Andy Brown Muzukuru-Umzukulu is no more. The music flame has been extinguished and the great theatre, representing Zimbabwe and beyond is in total darkness.
“His guitar remains in loneliness looking for its owner who entertained multitudes across the globe,” he said.

Ambassador Moyo also said the entertainment industry has been deprived of a fatherly figure.
“The silence is stunning, bewildering and leaving music lovers like orphans,” he said.
Ambassador Moyo also moaned the loss of other musicians such as Tongai Moyo.

“It was only last year at a Zanu-PF rally I addressed in Chiredzi, that the late Tongai “Igwe” Moyo, a music legend, Alick Macheso the guitarist surgeon and the late Andy Brown, the music magician, performed miracles of                  music menu tChiredzi multitudes had never experienced,” he         said.
Brown is survived by his wife Nadine and 10 children and mourners are gathered at number 8 Gibings Road, Cranborne, Harare.
