WE are set for a dramatic finish in the Castle Lager Premiership relegation battle.
CAPS United, Cranborne Bullets, Yadah, ZPC Kariba and Bulawayo City are all locked up in a tight battle for survival.
Bulawayo City appear to have unlocked their survival instincts with two back-to-back wins.
They shocked Dynamos 1-0 and followed it up with another 1-0 win over ZPC Kariba at Nyamhunga Stadium.
The Bulawayo municipal side are now just two points away from safety, with two games to play.
ZPC Kariba are two points above the red-zone and remain among the favourites to maintain their Premiership status for next season.
CAPS United lost 1-2 to Chicken Inn at Luveve over the weekend.
It means Makepekepe are now back in the relegation matrix.
They now need their experienced troops to stand up if they are entertaining any hopes of playing top-flight football next season.
They are five points above the drop-zone, and their destiny is in their hands.
The Green Machine have been surviving on a shoestring budget.
Their never-say-die spirit could be key.
The club’s hitman, William Manondo, who is also the league’s leading scorer with 15 goals, has been in hibernation, going seven successive games without a goal.
Cranborne Bullets and Yadah are also hovering dangerously above the drop-zone with only three points, and a point, keeping them out.
Their Premiership status is under threat and whoever fails to collect maximum points in the remaining matches will surely wave goodbye.
