Buffaloes wary of Muparati

Muparati stole the show during the BancABC Sup8r quarter-final clash between the teams at Gibbo early this month. Dynamos won the Cup match 2-0 with goals coming from Augustine Mbara and Russell Madamombe with Muparati winning the man-of-the-match accolade.

Interestingly, Muparati was missing when Buffaloes became the first team to hand Dynamos a defeat in a league match at Sakubva last month.
Masachi, who has led his side to two wins and two losses since taking over, said they were coming to Harare expecting a victory, after winning their tie in the capital against CAPS United.

“I hope we should just pick up from where we left in our last game at Sakubva,” said Masachi. “We managed to beat Dynamos when we played them at home although they managed to win against us at Gibbo. They caught us unaware with the early goals and Muparati was difficult to contain during that game. He destroyed us. Now we hope to guard against conceding early goals.”

Buffaloes are going into the match with their heads high after a 5-1 drubbing of Tripple B at Sakubva while Dynamos suffered a 0-1 defeat to How Mine at Luveve.
Jacob Muzokomba scored a hat-trick while former Dynamos winger Wonder Sithole and Admire Dzumbunu weighed in with other goals during Buffaloes’ thumping of Tripple B.

Masachi is not underrating their task at hand and knows they have to summon all their bag of tricks to beat Dynamos, especially in the Glamour Boys’ backyard. “Every coach will be hoping to get a victory in every game or a draw at least. So we hope to come out okay during the game,” said Masachi.

“I do not think we should be too much concerned over an individual player but should focus on the whole team. We lost in midfield but we have tried to make corrections.”
The Mutare side will be without towering Prosper Matizanadzo who is also going for the Cosafa Senior Challenge Cup tournament. “We played the last game without Prosper because he was sitting on three yellow cards.

There are able replacements in the team and we hope Liberty Chakoroma, who is a youngster will fit well,” said Masachi.
DeMbare will be without defensive linkman Devon Chafa, their best player so far this season, and leftback Ocean Mushure who are part of the Warriors squad leaving for Lusaka for the Cosafa Senior Challenge Cup today.
