Bulawayo celebrates Workers Day

BULAWAYO today joins the rest of the country and the world in celebrating Workers Day with main celebrations set to take place at the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions offices in the city centre.

Bulawayo City Council employees are already at the celebrations venue, which will start with a procession within the city centre. Various council utility vehicles from the Fire and Ambulance Services Department, refuses collection, loss control have been released to be part of the concession.

This year’s commemorations are being held under the theme;
“End Corruption, end workers exploitation:Workers unite for social justice.”
