Bulawayo Chiefs appoint John Nyikadzino as new head coach

Bulawayo Chiefs FC has officially announced the appointment of John Nyikadzino as the club’s new head coach, following the departure of Takaendesa Jongwe.

The club confirmed the news in a press statement released on Wednesday.
Nyikadzino, a seasoned figure in Zimbabwean football, is renowned for guiding teams to Premier League promotion.

His coaching résumé boasts successful stints with Chapungu FC, where he earned promotion in 2013 and reached the semi-finals of the Chibuku Super Cup in 2015. He repeated the feat with Nichrut FC in 2018 and Sheasham FC in 2022.

The club said Nyikadzino emerged as the standout candidate after a comprehensive selection process, citing his “remarkable achievements and commitment to developing competitive teams.”

Holding a CAF A license, Nyikadzino is highly respected in local football circles for his tactical discipline and results-oriented approach. The Chiefs believe his leadership will be pivotal as they build a strong squad for the upcoming season.

“We are excited about the future and confident that under his leadership, Bulawayo Chiefs FC will continue to grow and achieve set goals,” said club CEO Thulani Javas Sibanda.
