Bulawayo Chiefs Football Club has joined the growing list of football clubs mourning the deaths of Highlanders Football Club chairman Retired Colonel Kenneth Mhlophe, vice chairman Sifiso Siziba and treasurer Nkani Khoza, who were killed in a road traffic accident on Thursday night.
In a condolence message, the Ninjas extended their sympathies to the bereaved families, the Highlanders fraternity and all those affected by the tragedy.
“Bulawayo Chiefs Football Club is deeply saddened by the reports of the tragic road accident involving members of the Highlanders Football Club Executive Committee.
“During this difficult time, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, friends and Highlanders FC. Our thoughts and prayers are also with the injured; we wish them strength and a full recovery,” the club said.
Bulawayo Chiefs paid tribute to the three executives, saying their contribution to the game would be remembered.
“May the departed souls of Highlanders Club Chairman Kenneth Mhlophe, Highlanders Vice Chairman Sifiso Siziba and Highlanders Treasurer Nkani Khoza rest in eternal peace.
“May all those affected find comfort and strength in the days ahead.
“From all of us at Bulawayo Chiefs Football Club.”
