“We are with you”…DeMbare stands with Highlanders after tragedy

Dynamos Football Club has joined clubs across Zimbabwe in mourning the deaths of Highlanders Football Club chairman Retired Colonel Kenneth Mhlophe, vice chairman Sifiso Siziba and treasurer Nkani Khoza, who were killed in a road traffic accident on Thursday night.

In a condolence message, the Harare giants said while the two clubs have long been fierce rivals on the pitch, they remain united as members of one football family during moments of tragedy.

“We are with you.

“Dynamos FC mourns the tragic passing of Highlanders leaders Chairman Kenneth Mhlophe, Vice-Chairman Sifiso Siziba, and Treasurer Nkani Khoza in the Gweru-Bulawayo accident.

“Though rivals on the pitch, we are united as one football family. We stand in solidarity with all Highlanders FC supporters, the bereaved families, the people of Bulawayo and the whole football fraternity in Zimbabwe during this painful time,” the club said.

Dynamos prayed for the souls of the departed executives.

“May their souls rest in eternal peace.”
