THE City of Bulawayo is seeking to appoint non-executive board members to some of its strategic business units.

The local authority has since invited suitably qualified persons to apply for non-executive board membership for its strategic business units, Ingwebu Breweries and City of Kings business ventures.

In a statement, town clerk Mr Christopher Dube said the strategic business units operate under a charter of commercialised entities as independent entities.

“Non- executive board members will provide independent assurance, advise on governance and formulation of strategic and operational plans for the units,” read the statement.

The applicants, the city council said, should have expertise in finance, business management, human resources, marketing, agriculture, engineering and operations.
