Fast rising Bulawayo designer Nkululeko Ncube will again be showcasing his designs among Africaas best when he takes his Ara Kani label to the second and last edition of this yearas South African Menswear Week (SAMW) in Cape Town next month.
Ara Kani who had another presentation at the South African Menswear Week Autumn/Winter Collections this past February, will be presenting his Spring/Summer 2016/17 collection alongside Tanzaniaas Mustafa Hassanali & South Africaas Nguni Shades on the last day of the event.
This yearas edition takes place from 6 to 8 July.
South African Menswear Week is Africaas only stand-alone platform dedicated to the development and promotion of menswear within the African continent.
Taking place twice a year in Cape Town, South Africa, SAMW aims to provide a world-class platform for menswear designers and brands to showcase their latest collections.
Ncubeas stock has been rising rapidly on the African fashion scene ever since Ara Kani was first launched at the Clothing Indaba in 2013. Not content with sitting on his laurels and letting his promising brand fester in his home town, Ncube has gone on to showcase at platforms such as HIFashion at HIFA, Durban Fashion Fair in addition to Bulawayoas own Intwasa Fashion Show.
For his second adventure in Cape Town this year, Ncube will be joined by Harare based designer, Taf the Taylor, who has been showcasing at all the Menswear weeks in Cape Town.
a?I have always wanted to be a part of this forward growing movement and I am glad that my team has pulled this through. I look forward to representing Zimbabwe and that young person who has the same dream I had a few years backa?, Ncube said on receiving news of his participation.
