Organisers of the event said everything was in place and were hoping to have a successful debut.
“We hope to make this event an annual event in the culture, arts and entertainment calendar of not only for the province, but Zimbabwe as a whole,” said Butshilo Nleya, leader of the organising team.
The inaugural festival befit Bulawayo, a city renowned for its diverse culture.
The organisers said they hoped the community initiative would grow into a fully fledged festival that celebrates human diversity and creativity like Intwasa Arts Festival that is hosted in the same city which played host to regional and international artistes.
