A 27-year-old Bulawayo man has appeared in court for raping his friend’s 14-year-old girlfriend.
The accused, from Njube suburbs, who is facing rape charges, has been remanded in custody to August 6, 2025, for trial by Western Commonage magistrate, Mrs Sibongile Marondedze.
According to prosecutor Mr Milton Moyo, the incident occurred on July 8 2025.
On that date, the accused jumped over the durawall of the juvenile’s place of residence and gained entrance to the yard.
He found the complainant inside the yard, dragged her inside the house, Mr Moyo told the court.
While inside the house, Nyoni had sexual intercourse with the complainant without her consent and without protection.
He repeated the act twice.
