In a dramatic bust, a 29-year-old man was taken into custody after being caught red-handed with a stash of raw, unmarked, and unregistered ivory at the Amakhosi Service Station, a popular pit stop along the bustling Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Road.

In a statement the police said on 31 January 2025 they seized a hidden elephant tusk from Blessed Matibenga who was attempting to sell it, discovering the tusk concealed in a white sack.
