Fast rising model Vanessa Nobesuthu, otherwise, known as Nessanobz is excited after she got nominated at the prestigious Young Achievers Africa Awards for Best Young Achiever Fashion Model for the 2024- 2025 season.

The dates and venue for the awards are yet to be announced. She is nominated along a number of African models in the category including Amy Vanessa M (South Africa), Tatu Mziray (Tanzania),
Siphephelosethu Myeni (Swaziland), Stephen Sunday (Uganda), Moses Orgi (Nigeria), Walter Mwulanda (Zambia), as well as Liya Elias from Ethiopia, amongst others.

The 21-year-old who is fresh from her recent win as Outstanding Model at the Pumula Royal Arts Community Awards (Praca Awards), is thrilled to have received the nomination as it is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and passion for fashion and community service.

She hopes to inspire young women globally, to pursue their passion and never give up on their dreams.

“It feels amazing being recognised internationally, and it means a world to me. A nomination on its own is a win. I use fashion and pictures to express the deepest parts of me. This means that I am versatile and my love for fashion knows no bounds – something which I might say led to this nomination.

“At the awards, I promise to represent the girl child out there so as to prove that anything is possible. To all the young girls out there, especially those who are underprivileged and oppressed, they must not wait for a man to put what they want on the table. Anything is possible as long as one believes in their dream and works hard towards fulfilling what their heart desires,” said Nessanobz.

Nessanobz was born in the United Kingdom and raised in Kwekwe. She relocated to Bulawayo at the age of 18.

She describes herself as a jack of various genres in the industry, including being a video vixen, fashion and commercial model, event organiser, and MC.

In her career spanning for more than a year, the model has worked with some of the notable creatives in the industry such as Kay_Kid Umfanomsotho King David (while was still Baba Harare), Mzistozz Mfanafuthi, Jaycee Rappadict, and others.

She has worked with several top brands and designers, including Noey the Stylist, Demi Dlozi, Harris Entertainment, and Cleanhelp Investments.

Meanwhile, the model said she was working on a collaboration with a South African artiste called Cornerstone and she hopes to break boundaries with this effort.
